Feeding betta fish
It is essential to watch everything you feed to your
live betta fish for
sale.
We all human does the same, eating healthy and organic, so why not for pet
fishes? Because they always require food that is rich in nutrients, minerals,
proteins, and vitamins.
They are undoubtedly beautiful, have fantastic skin
patterns, and their fins are unique, but that doesn't mean that their food
intake should be low quality. They are very much different from other household
animals or pets.
Their diet
These fishes are carnivores by nature ( natural
carnivores ). They know what to eat, how to eat, and how to hunt. And when they
reside in the wildlife, they find and hunt so many insects and insect larvae on
their own. So basically, in the wild, they do not need to worry about their
diet or food.
But things don't remain the same when they are
captive in the household for their attributes. In here, all are rested up to
the owner of that betta to provide precisely that which is essential to the
fish.
What to give them
Some people believe that decorating bettas tank or
aquarium with different types of plants, which they can eat time after time,
will lead them to fill their stomachs. This is so not true and is very
dangerous to the betta.
As we already talked about betta and why they are
natural carnivores. They need that food, that diet that is rich in proteins no
matter what. May high proteins betta pellets are available at the pet store.
Always select those pellets which are designed or
made for betta fish. Feeding betta fish other shots made for other fish just
like tropical fish, is hazardous for siamese fighting fish.
Other foods that betta can quickly eat are:
l
Insects.
l
Insects larvae.
l
Mosquito larvae.
l
Blood worm.
l
Dried blood worm.
l
Black worm.
l
Frozen blood worm.
How and when to feed a
betta
Feeding your betta at least two times a day is
always recommended. And the quantity should be between 2 to 4 pellets in a
single serving. Pellets constantly expand on the surface of the water; your
betta will be pleased to find out.
Also, if you do not have anything like frozen or
dried insects, you can substitute them for pellets.
Many professionals and experts advise people to rid
of anything their betta doesn't eat. Let's say that betta is finished eating
those pellets, and there are still some leftovers; clean them up and throw them
in a bin.
You do not want your betta to overeat, because that
will lead to constipation and other diseases.
Bettas
for sale are around 4 to 9 dollars in a market. Their specie
variety varies from their skin tone, colors, fins, and size. Also, their
feeding is not expensive at all. Blood worms, black worms, and pellets are
available at a very economical rate. From 2 to 4 dollars, you can buy food in
bulk for them, which lasts for days.
